DARE Officers Graduate

Four Columbus Police Officers graduated from DARE Officer Training on Friday, June 22, 2007. The intensive, two-week training was provided by DARE Indiana, in Fishers. In addition to learning the structured, 10-week elementary and middle school curriculums, officers received special training in ways children learn, brain function, drugs, and gangs.

The newly trained DARE officers join six others from Columbus Police Department and Bartholomew County Sheriff's Dept., and will begin teaching DARE in the Fall 2007 semester.
